Prof Gilles Guillemin is the co-founder of the Macquarie University Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Research Centre and the MND Biobank and the Head of the Neuroinflammation group at Macquarie University. Prof Guillemin’s team is one of the world’s leading research groups working on the involvement of the tryptophan catabolism (via the kynurenine pathway) in human neurodegenerative diseases.
