Prof Corinne Smith

University of Warwick

Professor Corinne Smith studies the mechanism of clathrin-mediated endocytosis using structural biology and biophysical approaches and for over 20 years has pioneered the use of single particle cryo-electron microscopy to determine the structure of clathrin cage complexes. Professor Smith is the Director of the Advanced Bioimaging Research Technology Platform at the University of Warwick, chair of the scientific advisory board for the Molecular and Cellular Structure cluster (MCS) at EMBL-EBI, serves on the wwPDB scientific advisory board and was chair of the Biochemical Society’s Molecular Structure and Function Panel.
