Jimit received a Bachelor of Science with majors in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, India. He worked as a research intern at Nanghavi Chromatography Solution Pvt Ltd and gained further skills in molecular biology at the National Facility for Biopharmaceuticals India. Jimit completed a Master of Biotechnology at Macquarie University followed by 12-months research project which involved synthesising mesoporous silica nanoparticles and their characterisation using different analytical techniques. Jimit believes that through mere communication, many problems can be solved. He loves to be around nature and humans, and he is an enthusiastic foodie. In his free time, he exchanges cultures with diverse people in society and embraces their differences.
Jimit’s FAAB MRes project will investigate how to deliver and enhance the permeation of cannabidiol across the skin.
