Dr Aparajita Khatri is the Chief Scientific Officer at Encap Solutions Pty. Ltd., a company currently developing drug delivery solutions based on their proprietary microencapsulation technology. EncapSolution’s core knowhow is in encapsulating a wide variety of bio-actives (DNA/RNA, proteins/Peptides, Small drug molecules) in silica matrix to produce porous silica particles with encapsulated API.

Having obtained her PhD in Molecular Virology and Gene Therapeutics through a CSIRO scholarship, Dr Khatri has focussed on developing synergy based, multidimensional, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology based therapeutic and diagnostic solutions for human and animal health. At Encap Solutions her role is to drive the development of their core technology for multi-faceted applications of bioactive/molecular drugs for both human and animal healthcare with a special focus on skin drug delivery applications. In addition, as an advisor to the CEO and a stakeholder manager, Dr Khatri is intrinsically involved in developing new opportunities and pipelines and helps forge strategic partnerships for the organisation, working with universities and industry across the product and project lifecycle to achieve targeted, patient-centric healthcare innovations.
