Research

FAAB research is structured under 3 themes, each with projects, lead researchers and industry partners dedicated to their success. Each project is designed to drive transformation by enhancing our understanding of bioactive products and their biological modes of action to legitimise claims. Our projects will also result in methods for molecular characterisation of bioactives and their environment to contribute to regulation of products.

Identifying Functional Bioactives

FAAB delivers the advanced chemical and biological analysis and expertise required to discover, isolate, identify, and structurally characterise diverse bioactive compounds, in pace with expectations of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
